Author Interview-CR Moss

What inspired you to become a writer?~
I don’t think any one thing inspired me to become a writer. I think being a writer was what I was destined to do. Writing’s been a part of me for as long as I can remember. When I was growing up, I made up stories to keep myself entertained. Then when I was in middle school and received an A in English that’s when I realized that writing was the path I was truly meant to be on.
Who are your favorite romance characters (besides your own?)~ Oooh, good question! The first story and characters that came to mind was ‘Remembrance’ by Jude Deveraux. That story, when I read it the first time, enthralled me. Loved the theme of reincarnation and how the characters were meant to be together in each life time.
Sunset Desires’ ~ Tell me what inspired this story.
~ Three things had the creative juices flowing when I was writing this story. The first was developing the story for a particular line. The next was remembering a beautiful sunny day I spent on the beach in Grand Cayman. And, when I was writing the first draft of the story, I was down at the pool enjoying a bright summer’s day, the water and soaking up some rays. Latin Jazz and Flamenco music played on my mp3 player. It all culminated in my mind to create the romantic and sexy 1 Night Stand story for Decadent Publishing.

Blurb:
A blind date. A hot tropical evening. She’ll be someone he can’t forget. He’ll fulfill her ultimate fantasy.
Gwendolyn Tramonto is stunned to learn her cousin set her up with sex on the beach and it’s not the drink. But after a several year dry spell of no relationships, no dates…no sex, Gwen decides to take her cousin up on her offer and go out on the blind date. For once, she’d like to indulge in a fantasy, be wined and dined instead of the other way around, and if she and the man ended up in bed together, that would be a nice bonus.
Evan Cadell is looking forward to the date his uncle arranged for him through an exclusive matchmaking service and taking a one night break from work, life and all its demands. From Gwen’s profile, Evan knows what her fantasy is and believes he’s the man who can make it come true.
But will one night in paradise be enough to satisfy their desires?

How do you balance your day-to-day commitments with your writing life?
~ I make lists of things I have to do to help prioritize what needs to be done. I have a small notebook for this purpose, and whenever I think of something that I’ll need to do, I write it down in the notebook and as I do the tasks, I cross them off. I also keep another to-do list in Tasks in Outlook along with the calendar. I also tend to do a lot of my writing at night so I can get other things done during the day.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
~ Readers: I’ll be at Arizona Dreamin’ & RomCon in June. Come join the festivities if you can!
